Over 15 years delivering insights.
I spent the last 4 years building the data and insights function at Hello Insight (B2B SaaS Analytics). I developed a hybrid team of data scientists and user researchers. I reduced reporting time by 20x through building custom R packages and scalable workflows. I secured funding for product development targeting the Latin America market and created a new enterprise revenue stream to demonstrate subscription ROI. And I led the R&D of a new feature to engage C-suite users in subscribing organizations.
Before Hello Insight, I delivered insights to education and policy organizations through my PhD research, consulting roles, and educational psychology service.
Recent Highlights
I helped Web3 builders in the first Andamio Pioneers cohort to sharpen their understanding of product-market fit. This 1-hr workshop covered unique PMF issues across Web3 products and how the Jobs-To-Be-Done framework helps to align product development and the GTM strategy.
Solid Speaking and Research Background
I've led presentations and workshops at national conferences, such as the American Evaluation Association and National Afterschool Association. At Hello Insight, I also led many workshops (like this one and this one) to engage users and maximize their subscription value. And, with our partners in Latin America, we put together a hybrid course that brought together almost 800 people across the region.
I've grown solid research and insight skills over the last 10 years. At UC Davis and Hello Insight:
I learned how to measure people's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors (See here, here, and here). I wrote about the contexts that help young people to act (see here and here).
I used causal inference and mixed methods to study how much social interventions impact behavior, as well as the mechanisms for impact and the subgroups that benefit the most. This included data mining of 10,000 young people in the Hello Insight national dataset, a rigorous, federally-funded intervention across 2,000 young people in the US, and a World Bank-funded intervention across 55,000 young people in Indonesia.
I developed new methods (meaningful change index, contribution tracing) to trace the impact of complex interventions when experiments are not the answer.
